Business Process Improvement
Our business consultants encourage companies to improve competitive advantage through the realignment of their core values. In many cases this means transforming the present organisation and culture, which is likely to be based on traditional departmental lines, to one that is customer focused.
Process improvement adds value to a business by developing corporate structures, processes and procedures to support this realignment. It is not a finite process. If implemented successfully it will create a culture within which an organisation will place importance on quality and continuous improvement.
A key factor in process improvement is making sure that ICT systems are being used to best advantage. Too often, companies are 'hamstrung' by outdated, inflexible or inappropriate systems.
Process improvement creates change. Change requires consultation and participation at all levels. The people at the 'coal face' often have much to contribute but their views are seldom sought. Superiors often perceive initiatives from subordinates as threats to traditional, hierarchical organisations. It is worth remembering that people seldom resist their own ideas! Also, people do not like working inefficiently.
